Choosing the Right Diet Plan


Just a little FYI: I AM OVER FIFTY YEARS OLD! So, I know how much work is required for those of you who are over forty to keep from putting on extra pounds. I also am aware of how difficult it is to lose those extra pounds, once you have put them on!

As I've mentioned in other articles, fad diets may help you lose some excess weight initially. However, most of the time, the weight lost is simply water weight. To actually lose adipose (fat) tissue and to keep it off, it's best to find a diet that is right for you-one that you truly could live off of for the rest of your life!

 

No matter what your age, a good rule of thumb when choosing a diet plan is to pick a diet that allows you to eat foods from every food group. Balance is important in all aspects of life, and that includes the foods you eat! Cutting out entire food groups from your daily diet is not the healthiest way to go!
