A
Weight Watchers Review
I
really enjoy reading reviews about the various diet plans that are available today
(including Weight Watchers). Since I believe in simply eating a healthy, balanced
diet in moderate portions, I don't follow any particular popular diet. But, it's
nice to learn what other people have to say about these diets! Below
are a couple of Weight Watchers reviews, to give you additional perspectives on
this well-established diet program: "The
premise of Weight Watchers is to assign points to foods. Depending on your body
weight, you are allowed a certain number of total points all day. For example,
a person who is currently 150-174 pounds will be allowed a range of 20 to 25 points.
You are required to at least eat the lowest amount, and cannot exceed the highest
number. Weight Watchers encourages its members to eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
No matter what the specific WW plan is, they always encourage that members do
the following: - Keep
a journal and record your meals every day
- Drink
at least 8 glasses of water a day
- Take
a multivitamin daily
- Eat
five or more servings of fruits and vegetables
- Exercise
regularly
- Follow
the WW dietary plan"
Pros "Easy
to understand, follow, and apply life. You eat any food you want." Cons "Expensive,
requires your full commitment
Some online tools not very useful
Meetings
can get tedious. Small portions." The
Bottom Line "You
can be successful on the Weight Watchers Program as long as you stick to your
points and exercise frequently."--dietranking.com According
to Weight Watchers reviews on consumersearch.com, Weight Watchers is one of the
best weight loss programs available in today's market. Below
is what consumersearch.com has to say about Weight Watchers:
"Weight
Watchers is the top choice in many reviews, and it has been subjected to the
most clinical studies. This program encourages a sensible diet consisting of healthy,
ordinary foods, exercise, and a positive attitude. Weight Watchers is also flexible,
which makes it easier for most people to follow, and its cost is reasonable for
a commercial program. In-person group meetings and weigh-ins are the cornerstone
of the Weight Watchers diet plan. The food plan requires strict calorie management.
However, it does not require the purchase of prepackaged food." Conclusion My
own personal research and experiences of family and friends lead me to believe
that the Weight Watchers program is among the best and healthiest commercial diet
plans on the market. I rate Weight Watchers highly. However, just as the above
reviews state, successful weight loss following the Weight Watchers diet plan
DOES require strict management of caloric consumption, as well as dedication to
a regular exercise regimen. Note:
Before beginning ANY diet or exercise program, be sure to consult with your health
care professional. By

In
all honesty, I've never personally been a member of Weight Watchers. Everything
I've learned about Weight Watchers has been second-hand. However, some of my sources
have been very close to me, and very reliable! In fact, one source is a member
of my own family. I was able to see for myself how Weight Watchers worked for
her.
One
thing that I learned about Weight Watchers is that there are no contracts to sign!
All you have to do to join is attend a meeting near you and pay as you go! How
great is that? Weight
Watchers meetings are once a week and last for less than an hour. (Surely you
can take out that little time each week for the sake of your health!) At these
meetings, you will: - Track
your progress with a confidential weigh-in
- Learn
to make better lifestyle choices, such as eating healthy foods and exercising
- Get
new tips and Weight Watchers materials to help you follow the
- TurnAround"
diet plan
You'll also get from Weight Watchers a great support system which offers advice,
encouragement, and moral support. This support comes from your Meeting leader
(an individual who has lost weight with Weight Watchers, is a trained expert in
the program, and is committed to your success). Additional support comes from
your peers at Weight Watchers. They'll share with you practical experience, as
well as tips and recipes that have worked for them. Weight
Loss SuccessMy
family member who joined Weight Watchers was successful at losing weight through
this weight-loss program. She followed the POINTS® Plan, which allowed
her to eat from every food group, as long as she didn't go over the allotted number
of points each day. (One of the reasons she joined Weight Watchers was because
she didn't have to purchase any special meals. She could eat real food!) It
helped her to have support from individuals who had already successfully lost
weight through Weight Watchers. When she felt like giving up, she could call her
leader or one of her peers to share her feelings and receive encouragement to
hang in there! If
there was one downfall to the Weight Watchers Program, it was getting weighed
once a week. Once-a-week weigh-ins proved to be discouraging at times, because
there wasn't always any noticeable progress. In fact, one weigh-in may have noted
a loss of a couple of pounds. Whereas, the next weigh-in may have noted a weight
gain. (NOTE:
Even when you watch what you eat and exercise regularly, your weight will fluctuate
from day-to-day! Therefore, you're less likely to be discouraged if you refrain
from weighing yourself too often! You should definitely NOT weigh yourself more
than once a week! Once or twice a month is often more encouraging!)
Overall
SatisfactionFrom
what I've been told by my family member and friends who have participated in Weight
Watchers, this really is a good weight-loss program to check out! Weight
Watchers has been around for a long time and has a proven track record! It is
not some fly-by-night fad diet plan! By

As with any diet plan, if you are serious about losing weight you need to exercise. One of the best ways to burn calories is with an elliptical trainer. It offers a low impact, total body workout. One model you may want to check out is the Smooth CE 7.4 elliptical trainer review.
The Smooth CE 7.4 is a commercial grade elliptical for the home.
